Copy Table to Excel

It can occasionally be useful to copy a table in the Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) and paste it into Excel for sorting and enhanced viewing. You may also wish to copy the list of grants on the Open or Closed pages for use in an offline meeting.

Please refer to the following browser specific instructions for information on how to copy a table from the GLM into Excel.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Select the entire table using your mouse cursor.
  2. Select Copy from the context-menu that appears when you right-click on the page or simply use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + C.
  3. Open a worksheet in Excel and select the cell you would like to begin pasting into (generally, A1).
  4. Click on Paste to insert the data into the Excel worksheet or simply use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + V.
  5. By default, the data will be pasted as HTML into Excel and will retain some formatting from the site. Change the formatting of the data if necessary for better viewing.

Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome

  4. Select Paste special from the context-menu that appears when you right-click in the cell to open the Paste Special dialogue.
  5. Choose Text from the list of available options.
  6. Click on OK.
  7. Due to the structure of the table in the GLM, you will end up with an empty column to the left of the pasted data. You may delete this column.
